Stimulus Control Update: Application Deadline for Program Paying $200 Each Month Is Today – Washington Examiner

SThursday is the last day musicians in New York can sign up for a guaranteed income program that earns them an additional $200 each month.
The Artist Grants Program payments give $200 to six recipients selected by the Local Sound Collaborative organization. Recipients will receive the payments once a month from December 2023. Applications will remain open until June 3, according to the organization.

Applications for the program opened April 3, and the program will pay recipients once a month for a year.
To be eligible for this program, an applicant must live in the greater Rochester area of New York and be at least 18 years old. In addition, he or she must identify as a member, employee or participant within the local music community and demonstrate financial need.

Recipients are allowed to spend the $200 payment on whatever they want, including groceries, travel expenses, and new equipment for their music, among other needs.
