Netflix viewers warn others not to ‘waste your time’ watching streamer’s No. 1 film – The Independent
Netflix viewers warn each other not to watch the movie that currently ranks #1 on the streamer’s top 10 most watched movies.
While the platform’s weekly TV schedule is typically flooded with new releases, the movie list is less predictable and often varies between recent releases and classics.
This week the latest thriller from director Daina Reid Run Rabbit runstarring Succession‘s Sarah Snook, tops the US list.
Since its June 28 Netflix release, the film has been largely panned by critics, with Clarisse Loughrey in her review for The independent.
Right now, it stands at 38 percent on the review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes. And yet, despite the poor ratings, many Netflix users have decided to try the movie – hence its top spot.
Now, however, they warn others not to “waste two hours of your life” by watching Run Rabbit run.
“Run Rabbit run bad don’t look at it y’all,” one tweeted, while a second agreed that “it really is as bad as people say it is. so disappointing”.

Another questioned why it “got such a bad score on Rotten Tomatoes”, arguing that “it was actually really well done, especially for an Australian film”.
“Often heard this one is too slow or boring, but I thought it was a pretty good show of old traumas resurfacing,” said another.
Snook, 35, leads the Netflix chiller as Sarah, a fertility doctor who must confront her entrenched life-and-death beliefs after her daughter begins behaving strangely.
