ITV’s I’m A Celebrity line-up rumored as Boris Johnson’s odds lowered and soap star in talks – Chronicle Live
It may still be summer – despite the UK’s terrible weather! – but the new series of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here is now just a few months away and a slew of stars are being linked, including Boris Johnson, as bookies narrow down the odds of the former prime minister headed for the jungle.
It was in the summer of 2022 that I’m A Celebrity made its first appearance on ITV, and the nation was instantly sold as Ant and Dec took millions of viewers into the jungle each night as the first-ever champion, Tony Blackburn and others including the late Tara Palmer Tompkinson, spoon bender Uri Geller and boxer Nigel Benn headed Down Under.
Many other stars have taken the jungle throne since Tony’s win, including Vicky Pattison, Gino D’Acampo, Scarlett Moffatt and last year’s winner Jill Scott. I’m A Celebrity fans got an extra treat earlier this year when an All Stars series aired on ITV, with Myleene Klass beating Jordan Banjo in the final.

And now, with just a few months to go until production kicks off in Australia, thoughts are on who could go this year, with Boris Johnson now right in the mix, according to bookies William Hill, who now have him at 6/4 to follow Matt Hancock on I’m A Celeb.
Rumors about the I’m A Celebrity 2023 lineup
Boris Johnson

Yes, the former prime minister is about to stay in the jungle after his former health minister Hancock surprised everyone by finishing third, following his late arrival at Campo last year.
William Hill spokesman, Lee Phelps, said: “Boris Johnson is no longer an MP and he will certainly be popular when it comes to what he does next. MPs have done a stint in the jungle before, most notably Matt Hancock last year, and we think there’s a good chance Johnson is next at 6/4.
Strictly could also be on the agenda at 6/1 while he is 10/1 to give Dancing On Ice a shot next year.”

While it might be hard to believe that Boris could actually go into the jungle, sources claim Alan, famous for playing Tyrone in Coronation Street, is in talks with ITV bosses about joining the new series.
An insider told The Sun that bosses are fully aware that Alan comes with “a ready fan base”, adding: “Sometimes soap opera actors who are known for their iconic roles don’t quite translate once they’re in camp – Adam Woodyatt is a recent example. But Alan is a top lad with a lot of personality, so ITV are delighted he’s in talks to join their cast for 2023.”
The Vivienne

The first ever winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK in 2019, the Vivienne is no stranger to an ITV competition, having made it to the final of Dancing on Ice earlier this year.
And while talking about Lorraine, The Vivienne admitted that she’d love to give I’m A Celeb a try, saying; The star said, “I never thought about it, but what an absolutely amazing opportunity that would be… Take me to that jungle, what an amazing life opportunity.” I’m all for that!”
Mhairi Black

Another politician apparently in the I’m A Celebrity mix this year is Mhairi, Paisley and Renfrewshire South MP, who this week announced she would not be seeking re-election, just over six months since she was elevated to deputy Westminster leader. Speaking to the News Agents podcast on Tuesday, Ms Black described Westminster as “a toxic place”.
Bookies Coral has her on the same odds as Boris to go into the jungle, with Coral betting specialist John Hill saying: “We’ve seen many politicians leave the House of Commons for the I’m A Celeb jungle in recent years and our odds suggest that Mhairi Black may be the last to do so.”
Phil Taylor

The darts supremo known as The Power’ has been associated with I’m A Celebrity on numerous occasions over the years and is ready for it.
Speaking to The Mirror, he said: “I’d love to do the jungle – I’m not so sure about Strictly, although it would do me tremendous good and get me fit…
Denise vanOuten

Former Big Breakfast presenter and Strictly finalist Denise has also competed on The Masked Singer and Dancing on Ice, with an injury forcing her out of the latter and she’s gone public with a desire to do I’m A Celebrity before she turns 50.
Denise celebrated her 49th birthday in May, so the clock is ticking. Speaking of doing I’m A Celebrity, she told The Sun: “I’ll do it at some point. I think being a Celebrity for my 50th birthday would be something fun to do. I’m way more jungle vibes than castle vibes, to be honest.”
Frankie Dettori

Another sporting icon, the odds of champion jockey Frankie swapping the Grand National for a Buchtucker Trial are now down to 2/1.
William Hill spokesperson, Lee Phelps, said: “Assuming this will be his last season in the saddle, we’ve seen enough money coming in for Frankie Dettori to appear on this year’s edition of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! in November.
“There seems to be confidence that the Italian jockey will serve a stint in the jungle this year, with his price dropping from 16/1 earlier this month to just 2/1 as of Wednesday morning.
